Maintenance Manager

Salary $80,000 – $200,000

About the job:

Looking to add an experienced A&P – IA Inspector to manage our established and growing FBO that has been in business for over 40 years. With strong incentives, a good culture, and established clients, don’t let this opportunity pass you by.

Must relocate to McCook, NE before starting work (required).

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintain current company owned aircraft including Cherokee 180’s, Cessna 182, Thrush 510 P2+, and Piper PA 36-285

  • The A&P – IA Mechanic will report directly to Company Owner

  • Coordinate with other team members to ensure completion of maintenance tasks.

  • Conduct inspections, trouble shooting and diagnostics to identify and resolve mechanical issues.

  • Repair or replace defective components using hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments

  • Perform routine maintenance operations, such as the replacement of power plant and aircraft components

  • Perform 100 hr. inspection and annuals

  • Complete all tasks in the allotted time frame and to the quality standards of our company, our customers, and the FAA

  • Promote safety within the workplace by monitoring others and yourself to guarantee all tasks are performed within the safety manual guidelines, and communicate with other mechanics and supervisors to coordinate repairs and keep apprised of safety concerns

  • Keep detailed records of the inspections performed, repairs finished, maintenance procedures and ordered parts

  • Billing/Invoicing customers on a timely basis

Qualifications:

  • Licensed Airframe and Power Plant Technician with IA

  • Prior experience on Lycoming, Continental and PT6 turbine engines

  • Must have basic mechanical and troubleshooting skills

  • Must be proficient and able to teach and mentor

  • Must be goal oriented, have an exceptional attention to detail, and must work well in team situations and as an individual

  • Must have complete set of own tools to perform the required maintenance of aircraft

  • Must hold a valid US driver’s license & be authorize to work in the state

  • Dependable / reliable

  • Adaptable/flexible — enjoys doing work that requires frequent shifts in direction

Education & Experience:

  • Associates’ Degree with appropriate related work experience.

Red Willow Chemical is a privately owned company that started in 1978 by our own local Griff Malleck. At RWC we offer chemicals for our local growers, wholesale retailers and aerial application services. We strive to serve our customers, community, and employees. We are looking for energetic students interested in agronomy, chemical sales, other ag related courses, and aviation. We want those who are ready to work hard and join a team with a great company culture.

Internship information

Start dates are flexible. Internship will last approximately 90 days.

Time will be divided between all aspects of our business so you can get a feel for multiple areas within our business. This will include agronomy, chemical sales, warehouse, aerial application, and more.

$15/hour with a bonus to be paid at the end of the internship. Tuition reimbursement will also be provided for interns that return or turn into full time employment.
